TD Tech Communication Technologies Ltd., registered in Hongkong, is a joint venture between Siemens Communications Group
(51%) and Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (49%) for development and manufacturing of TD-SCDMA technologies and related products.   TD-SCDMA provides the cost-effective 3G Radio Access Network Solution (RAN, UTRAN) for seamless
integration into existing UMTS Mobile Networks, complementary to W-CDMA (UMTS FDD).
Compliant with ITU / 3GPP Standard UMTS TDD Release 4, TD-SCDMA is optimized for worldwide mobile Internet.
Headquartered in Beijing, China, and an R&D Center in Shanghai, TD Tech Ltd. has a workforce of more than 700 employees.
As founding members of the TD-SCDMA Forum, both parent companies Siemens and Huawei are in the forefront
of TD-SCDMA Technology.   TD Tech is a member of the TD-SCDMA Industry Alliance.

Operation of the first TD-SCDMA NodeB self-developed by Siemens (see funny PR statement from Ericsson) was launched in
the first field trial started 01-Oct-2001 in Beijing, successfully demonstrated to VIPs, decision makers and potential customers.
This Mother of all TD-SCDMA NodeB was based on Siemens BS-240 platform for site sharing with GSM.
